The school prinicipal is Mr. Denis Finnegan. Denis has taught in Tiernaboul National School since September 1989 where he has taught classes ranging from 3rd to 6th class. Prior to this he taught in Dublin in classes ranging from 1st to 6th class. Denis is involved in all aspects of the school including the board of management and parent’s association and has been a key player in the new refurbishment of the building and the upcoming open day to be held on the 18th of June 2010. Sheila Foley is somewhat of an institution at Tiernaboul National school having taught there since 1976. Sheila has taught nearly all age ranges within the school starting off with infants to 2nd class and since 1996 has taught the 2nd to 4th class age group. Sheila is a familiar face both within the school and at the school gate as she works her way through generations of students in the Tiernaboul and surrounding areas. Sheila is most approachable and her vast experience ensures she is always a reliable port of call for parents seeking advice and guidance.
